As a church, we believe the Bible is God's revelation of Himself, His will, and His ways. It is the only firm foundation upon which to build a life. So when the Bible says God loves us, we believe it. When the Bible says every human is a rebellious, self-centered being who believes their ways are better than God's, we believe it. And when the Bible says that because God loves us, he came to save us, we believe it. We believe God took on flesh and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus invites us back into a relationship with God; he is the way. He saves, changes, and invites us into his mission of transformation. But the Bible makes it clear that his mission is one of willing submission to him and loving self-sacrifice for others. That is what changes people. That is what brings life.
