Why Uncommon Church

Because Jesus is Uncommon!

Jesus Christ had an uncommon birth, an uncommon life, an uncommon death, an uncommon resurection, and he has everlasting glory, worth, and authority. All of this makes him an uncommon Savior and Lord. Our name reminds us of who Jesus is!

Because Jesus Makes Us Uncommon!

Jesus Christ makes a difference in our lives. Faith in Jesus begins a transformation process leading to a life of hope and joy. Jesus extends a new calling, gives a new identity, and equips us for an incredible and fruitful journey. A relationship with Jesus Christ makes us Uncommon People! Our name reminds us of who we are in Jesus.

Because Jesus' Mission is Uncommon

As a church, we believe the Bible is God's revelation of Himself, His will, and His ways. It is the only firm foundation upon which to build a life. So when the Bible says God loves us, we believe it. When the Bible says every human is a rebellious, self-centered being who believes their ways are better than God's, we believe it. And when the Bible says that because God loves us, he came to save us, we believe it. We believe God took on flesh and dwelt among us in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus invites us back into a relationship with God; he is the way. He saves, changes, and invites us into his mission of transformation. But the Bible makes it clear that his mission is one of willing submission to him and loving self-sacrifice for others. That is what changes people. That is what brings life. In today's world or any day past, present, or future, that is uncommon and powerful. Our name reminds us of our purpose in the world!

Our name reminds us we are Uncommon People with Uncommon Purpose!
